Spiral/Screw Blancher
A spiral blanching machine is a specialized piece of equipment designed to efficiently process fruits and vegetables. It works by continuously moving produce through a heated water bath or steam chamber on a spiral conveyor. The temperature of the water or steam can be precisely controlled to ensure optimal blanching conditions, which involves briefly immersing the food to deactivate enzymes and preserve its quality. After blanching, the produce is rapidly cooled to prevent overcooking.
The benefits of using a spiral blanching machine are numerous. It can process large quantities of produce quickly and efficiently, while also ensuring consistent blanching throughout the batch. This process helps to retain the color, texture, and nutritional value of fruits and vegetables. Additionally, blanching can help to deactivate harmful microorganisms, reducing the risk of foodborne illness. Spiral blanching machines are commonly used in various industries, including food processing plants, restaurants, and commercial kitchens, as well as for home canning.
